Favoritism?

Our project leader resigned a few weeks ago. After which, our manager told me that I am entitled to use the company-owned notebook left by our PL since I am in charge of marketing. I am so glad and excited to have it, but I was saddened after seeing the finance officer using the notebook. I also saw her brought it home. I am discouraged. My excitement to receive it has vanished. My manager should have not told me about that in the first place.

Folllow up with your manager. Nothing wrong with co ntinuing the conversation. A little advice, do not pout if you do not have use of the laptop. Your manager had good intentions and had no idea the Finance Officer would utilize it. Bottom line, you may have to get over it.
