As the spokesperson for the agency where I was employed, had lunch with the group before I was to delivery an informational talk. All went very well and felt that the message was well received. Sauntered to the restroom to freshen up. Found that a rather obvious piece of spinach was stuck between my front teeth and the one next to it. Everyone was so polite, and nothing was said. Am sure some people were amused, but too nice to say anything. After that experience, made sure that I visited the ladies room before speaking.

In the early 80s worked with a wonderful woman and co-worker that wore those polyester pull up pants. This was a public office where in any given day the office was filled with clients. She bent over to place files in a bottom file drawer. The elastic in her waistband snapped. When she straightened up, her polyester pants fell to her ankles. There she was, baring her white cotton undies! There were peals of laughter everywhere. The good sport she was, her only comment was "this is what happens when one gains a few extra pounds". She nonchalantly pulled them up and found a safety pin.

A lovely woman that I supervised came into my office with a rather odd look on her face. Asked her if something was wrong. She began to laugh and looked down. I looked down at her shoes and she had two entirely different shoes on. One had about an 1 1/2" heel and the other was a flat. Asked if she noticed the difference when she walked. She was in such a hurry to get out of the house and into the morning commute, that she just grabbed shoes she thought were a match. The good sport she was, the day went on as though she had on a matched pair, and it brought some smiles to the clients she interviewed, after explaining to them her mistake. Suggested that she bring an extra pair of "matched" shoes to keep in her office, in the event this should happen again. We laughed!

At environmental research lab they get a lot of workers from around the world. Some of them like to take a nap after eating lunch (on the clock), well one got caught in a safety audit and written up because he was sleeping between 2 roll away chairs.
