Group Voice mail

A woman sent out a voice mail to her boyfriend explaining about what they would do together in the hotel room at the upcoming National Sales Meeting. Two issues that tell the rest of the story. She was in Marketing at the home office, he was a Sales Manager in the field. 1. Her message went out to the whole Nation thinking she was responding to one of his messages. Soon after, they both left the company. We never knew if it was their choice or the company's direction

The Encyclopedia Dilemma

I was working for a publishing company once, and they asked me to compile a top level table of contents for one of our books, which was a dictionary of terms, to submit to Amazon. It sounds like a simple request, until you consider that a top level table of contents for a dictionary is the ALPHABET. I pointed this out to them. It took three days for them to decide that it wouldn't be necessary.
