Don't Be Cocky

I was a young cocky employee at a promotional advertising firm. My manager called me in to his office to reprimand me for my brash communication style with an co-worker. My flip comment to him was, "Squeaky wheel gets the grease." He calmly folded his hands, leaned back in his seat, and softly yet with command said, "And sometimes squeaky wheel gets changed." I learned my lesson.

got carried away...

I work at the front counter of a karate school. So, I have become very good friends with many of the regularly attending children\'s parents. One day I was talking with one of the mothers, gossiping as usual. When she asked me about my ex boyfriend. I got carried away and called him an ass.... and his new girl friend a slut.....to a mom at the karate school. She looked shocked, but just nodded her head as if I\'d said nothing wrong......soooo akward!

PACKAGE

I was a brand new police officer in a large city. I was working with a morelipped a lid experienced black female officer. WE were called to a disturbance at a housing project apartment. There were tons of people in the apartment. As we walked through the crowded halls to pinpoint the problem, out of no where, a female reaches out and give a firm squeeze on my jewels. I was so shocked. I did not know what to do. So I pretended that it never happened. I was freaked out. We calmed the group down and excited. Once outside I told my partner what had happened. She flipped a lid. Stormed back in there and made me point out the girl. Told the girl never touch a police officer ever. Took her night stick out, cracked the girl once and the head and we left. My niavate wa slowly diminishing. KiLO

Heartless

I was about 2 hours into my shift when I received a call from the police. My son tried to commit suicide and was being rushed to the hospital. I told my boss what happened and advised him I was leaving immediately. He demanded that I return to work and finish out my shift (another 7 hours). I walked out. I returned to work 2 days later - my next scheduled day - and he promptly fired me for disobeying him. I filed unemployment, an investigation ensued through corporate because of the reasons behind my dismissal, they found him guilty of wrongful termination and he was immediately fired. He then had the nerve to call me and accuse me of having him fired. Karma is such a bitch!

Everybody's got there problems, I got mine!

You know, every time I look at cafepharma, there are always snide demeaning comments going on. It got me thinking? When are we going to learn that you never really know what is going on with peoples personal life. I am not a saint but, what goes around comes around. I am not positive of my point here, but death, despair, personal crisis will inevidebly happen to everyone at some time in there life. I am not on a soap box. I cannot control anybody else but myself. I am going to try to live judgement free of others. As I said, everydody has there problems, buddy I got mine. Take care.
