Simply the description of this story can only be summed up in one word, "Harrassment".
Most woman in corporate America I can assure you can drum at least one good tail of how they have been subject to sexual harrassment.
This is my most recent encounter. I recently accepted a position at a company I had been previously employed for 23 + years. I had been away on an "extended" vacation (that's a other story) for a year and a half. I received an email from a former work aquaintencance who I had known for most of those 20 some odd years. Just aquainted through work, we were not friends outside of the workplace. He had emailed me to welcome me back to the company and non-chalantly mentioned he would stop by and see me the next time he was in the office. So one morning I sat at my desk getting organized for my day reading emails and studying the upcoming calendar of calls for the day when all of sudden I felt someone come up from behind me, lay there hands on my shoulders and reach around and plant 3 big wet ones on my cheek. Needless to say it was unexpected. I quickly turn around and there stood this man and all I could come up with was "Oh I didn't know my husband was visiting me at work today".....in hindsight I am proud of my remark as I was totally caught unawares. Might I add this man has been notorius for this behavior for many years and is common knowledge for all who know him. You have to wonder how someone with that reputation lasts in corporate Americas these days.
