The Bigger Issue

My team leader is such a jerk for making me look and feel dumb in front of my colleagues. What happened was that she shouted at me for accommodating her client while she was gone. I never intended to attract her customer. I explained to her that I just talked with her customer because she was not around but she did not listen. This simple instance became a big issue in the office. The worst thing is that I appeared to be the rude one.

A Secured Guard

Security guards are supposed to protect the entity or the company where they are assigned. But, are they protected from detriment or humiliation? A lady guard was on duty at the entrance of the mall when a woman entered and suddenly bad-mouthed her. She was shouting that the lady guard was the other woman of her husband, also a guard detailed at the same mall. It is ironic that the guards defend other’s properties yet they cannot secure their affair. 

Brand Confusion

My manager and I went to Western Union to receive the money sent by her brother. We were handed with a recipient’s form which she filled up and they asked for a photocopied identification card. We asked several people on where we can photocopy our documents and they pointed us to an establishment beside another Western Union. As we arrived in the place, we asked the sales attendant if they have a photocopier. He told us that they have none. We were so annoyed because we walked a long way to reach that place and he insisted that they don’t have a photocopying machine. We argued the attendant telling him that other people pointed their establishment to have a machine. Then he yelled at us saying, “We really don’t have a photocopier! All we have here is Xerox!” My manager and I looked at each other and we silently laughed. Ain’t that confusing?

Family Business

It is horrible to work with relatives especially if you’re younger. You can’t ask or demand from your aunt or uncle who also happens to be your coworkers. You also can’t leave that easy because they would call you an ingrate. All you can hope for is that the company would cease its operations so you can move on with a better job. :)

Be With Nature

We organized a weekend group in our company. We engage with outdoor events such as going to beaches or hiking mountain ranges. We also involve our families in it. These activities enhance not only our interpersonal relationships but also our outlook in life. Being with nature teaches us to be more positive in life and determined in achieving our goals.
